Gaston Sirino had a memorable night on Wednesday, netting his first goal for Kaizer Chiefs in a commanding 3-1 win against AmaZulu.
His performance left coach Nasreddine Nabi feeling proud and optimistic about the team’s future.
Sirino’s Journey to Kaizer Chiefs
After spending six successful years with Sundowns, where he contributed 41 goals and 44 assists, the 33-year-old Uruguayan joined Amakhosi in July.
Sirino’s move brought high expectations, and he’s already delivering.
In his debut against Marumo Gallants, he provided a brilliant assist, and he followed that up with a well-executed goal in the recent match against AmaZulu.
Coach Nabi’s Praise for Sirino
Kaizer Chiefs’ coach, Nasreddine Nabi, couldn’t hide his satisfaction with Sirino’s impact.
He praised the player not only for his skills but also for the positive influence he has on the younger members of the team.
“He’s a great role model for them and brings a lot of positive energy to the squad,” Nabi commented.
“This is exactly the kind of player I want at Chiefs – not middle-tier, but top-quality players like Sirino.”
