Kaizer Chiefs FC Struggle to Secure Bafana Bafana Striker Lebo Mothiba as He Joins Wydad Athletic Club in Morocco

Kaizer Chiefs FC are facing another setback in the transfer market as they look set to miss out on yet another key signing.

The club, long struggling to attract top talent to Naturena, is finding it increasingly difficult to land big-name players, following a decade without major trophies.

Mothiba Chooses Wydad Athletic Club Over Kaizer Chiefs

One of the main players Kaizer Chiefs had hoped to bring in was Lebo Mothiba, the talented Bafana Bafana striker.

Chiefs had made Mothiba their headline transfer target, but it now appears that the deal will not go ahead.

According to recent reports, Mothiba has joined Wydad Athletic Club in Morocco, managed by Rulani Mokwena.

Mothiba has been a free agent since parting ways with RSC Strasbourg in Ligue 1.

After recovering from an injury, he attracted interest from several clubs, but it seems that Wydad Athletic Club, a leading team in Morocco’s Botola Pro, will be his next destination.

Chiefs Eyeing Future Signings Despite Setbacks

While missing out on Mothiba is a blow, Kaizer Chiefs FC are already focusing on next season.

Despite their struggles under coach Nasreddine Nabi, it’s clear that the team needs reinforcement to become more competitive.

The club had already made several signings at the beginning of the current season, including Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari, Bradley Cross, Rushwin Dortley, and Gastón Sirino.

In addition, Njabulo Blom has returned to the club on a loan deal from St Louis City, bolstering the squad with much-needed depth.

Chiefs to Make Njabulo Blom’s Move Permanent

In a related development, Kaizer Chiefs have made a decision to make Njabulo Blom’s loan deal permanent.

Although Blom’s loan deal is set to expire in June, the club has exercised their option to buy him from St Louis City.

Chiefs are confident that a fully fit Blom will be a valuable asset to the team, with the technical staff pleased with his performances so far.

Sources close to the club confirm that management is now focused on triggering the buyout clause with St Louis City before finalizing a new contract for Blom.

Furthermore, it’s reported that Blom is not keen on returning to St Louis City after his time with Kaizer Chiefs.
