Kaizer Chiefs: Ex-Al Ahly coach raises hand for the Amakhosi plum job

Johnson is currently not attached to any team – this follows his departure from Al Ahly a few months ago where he worked with Pitso Mosimane.

Speaking to Power FM, Johnson was asked if he would accept the job at Naturena if he were to be approached by Chiefs.

Johnson confirmed that he once had talks with Chiefs who wanted him at the time but he instead chose Al Ahly over the Soweto giants.

“I was approached by Kaizer Chiefs before but I went to Al Ahly. But if they were to call now, I’d say yes. They don’t have a coach, and it’s a big club. Why not?” said Johnson.
