Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially engaged again

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially engaged again. Lopez herself has confirmed that she and Affleck are indeed engaged after the 52-year old actress and singer hinted about a big announcement and rumours about an engagement emoji have set the internet alight.

In a video message sent to her fans, an emotional Lopez is showing off her huge, green diamond engagement ring. She can also be heard saying: “You’re perfect.”

Before the official announcement, the Marry Me actress teased the “major announcement” with a video on Twitter.

“So I have a really exciting and special story to share…” the singer told followers, adding a diamond ring emoji to her Twitter handle, reported US Weekly.

In 2021 Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance, and fans went crazy.

But, their love story began (and sadly ended) way back when.

The couple previously got engaged in 2003 but soon after called off their wedding. The engagement ended in January 2004.

Soon after Lopez and Affleck parted ways, she married singer Marc Anthony and the couple became parents to now 14-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian. They got divorced in 2014. The Marry Me actress has also been married to actors Cris Judd and Ojani Noa.

US Weekly reports that Lopez described her breakup from Affleck as her “first real heartbreak.”

“It felt like my heart had been torn out of my chest,” she wrote in her 2014 memoir True Love.

“People do lots of things to anesthetize themselves in moments like these. Some people do drugs, some drink and some go out and party. I sought out comfort in another person, tried to find someone who could make me feel loved and wanted in my loneliest hours. And that was the moment when Marc reappeared in my life,” she continued.

Affleck also wasted no time and married actress Jennifer Garner. The couple had three children; Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, ten and divorced in 2015.

Lopez and Affleck have remained friends and after her and Alex Rodriguez’s split last year, the former lovers got back together.
