The 61-year-old actor’s character will be moving into the Queen Vic pub alongside his girlfriend, Elaine Peacock, portrayed by Harriet Thorne.
Colin’s Decision Influenced by Wife’s Illness
Prior to his debut on EastEnders, Colin shared that his wife of 35 years, Fiona Hawthorne, played a crucial role in his decision to accept the part.
Fiona is currently battling lung disease, and Colin expressed that it was important for him to be close to home during this challenging time.
He stated, “It’s a no-brainer.
My wife’s not well, so I can’t be far from home.”
