Israeli Father Shares Harrowing Video Showing His Daughter Cpl Noa Marciano’s Death at Shifa Hospital in Gaza

For Avi Marciano, the nightmare began on October 7, when his eldest daughter, 19-year-old Cpl Noa Marciano, was abducted during a Hamas attack.

Recently, he revealed the horrifying truth about her death, describing a video he received that showed a civilian doctor in Gaza ending her life.

The footage reportedly depicted Noa lying on a bed at Shifa Hospital, pleading for her life as the medical worker injected air into her veins.

By the end of the clip, Avi said, she was unresponsive, her body showing no signs of life.

Speaking publicly for the first time, Avi admitted the trauma still haunts him.

“There are mornings I wake up and see her death replaying in my mind,” he said.

He described his grief in raw detail, noting that the memory of losing his eldest daughter is a pain he carries every single day.

From Kidnapping to Tragedy

Noa was among seven female soldiers taken from the Nahal Oz military base during the initial chaos of October 7. She was the only one who did not survive.

According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Noa had suffered injuries during the bombardment and gunfire, though none were immediately life-threatening.

However, as Israeli forces approached the area where she was held, her captors moved her to Gaza City, where her life was ultimately cut short.

Her body was later found in a building next to Shifa Hospital and returned to Israel for burial in November 2023.

Hamas maintained she had been killed in an Israeli airstrike, but IDF military experts concluded her injuries were more consistent with gunshot wounds and possible trauma from a fall.

A Glimpse Into Hamas Captivity

The terror inflicted on captives extended far beyond Noa.

Yocheved Lifshitz, an 85-year-old woman who spent 16 days as a hostage in Gaza, shared her own harrowing experience.

Despite enduring violent abductions and beatings, Yocheved surprised many by expressing “peace” to her captors.

Speaking from Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv alongside her 52-year-old daughter, Sharone Lifshitz, Yocheved described how Hamas militants invaded her community, attacking civilians indiscriminately.

She was beaten with sticks and forced onto a motorcycle, riding through ploughed fields with multiple guards flanking her.

Brutal Treatment and Unbroken Spirit

The journey into Gaza continued through the infamous underground tunnels used by Hamas.

Yocheved endured bruises and shortness of breath but remained remarkably composed.

When asked why she had shaken the hand of a Hamas gunman, she explained, “Because they treated us very nicely.”

Her daughter, Sharone, revealed that the captors had carefully planned the abductions.

Prisoners, especially women, were provided with basic necessities such as shampoo and conditioner, and even an injured captive received medical attention.

The tunnels themselves were described as an intricate spiderweb beneath Gaza, highlighting the extensive network Hamas maintains for such operations.

Humanity Amid Horror

Despite the violence she endured, Yocheved’s compassion for others remained intact.

Her story offers a striking contrast to the tragedy of Noa Marciano, underscoring the wide range of experiences for hostages in Gaza—from unimaginable loss to the survival of spirit in the face of cruelty.
