A 33-year-old Indiana man is charged with rape of a 20-year-old university sorority girl after allegedly ‘plying her with weed and drink’ prior to her death at his parents’ home. Eric Montgomery, 33, was charged with the rape of University of Indiana student Avery McMillan, 20, on Tuesday. McMillan passed away on August 17 after sheriff’s deputies in Monroe County discovered her unconscious and unresponsive.



Deputies administered three doses of Narcan, an antidote for narcotic overdoses. Montgomery admits feeding the 20-year-old female alcoholic beverages and using marijuana with her.
According to police, the suspect had a “violent and long criminal past.”
He has not been charged with the death of McMillan.
Authorities say a Bloomington, Indiana man has been arrested and charged with the rape and subsequent death of an intoxicated University of Indian sorority member.
Eric Montgomery, 33, who has a ‘violent and significant criminal past,’ according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, was charged with rape and providing alcohol to a juvenile on Tuesday.
Avery McMillan, 20, a 20-year-old Zeta Tau Alpha sister, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive at her parents’ residence on August 17 at approximately 10:00 a.m., according to authorities. Montgomery reportedly phoned police and summoned them to his parents’ home, where McMillan was found.
She did not respond to three doses of Narcan, which is designed to reverse the effects of opioids, administered by sheriff’s deputies. Authorities have not indicated that McMillan or Montgomery were discovered with narcotics.

Eric Montgomery, 33, told police that he and McMillan had sex in her parking garage and drank and smoked marijuana together.
McMillan’s roommate informed authorities that McMillan had had an excessive amount of alcohol at a house party the night before.
According to WISHTV News, when they left the party, the deceased woman got “agitated and confrontational.”
McMillan fled her roommate’s vehicle, leaving behind her money, keys, and identification.
The television channel stated that video security footage captured in the early morning hours of her death shows her kicking and pounding the door to her apartment building and smacking the elevator controls.
McMillan’s roommate reported that the two attended a house party the night before her death, where she grew intoxicated and ran away from her friend’s car.
McMillan was discovered lifeless and comatose in the home of Montgomery’s parents in Bloomington, Indiana, where the University of Indiana can be seen.
McMillan was a sorority sister at the University of Indiana at Bloomington’s Zeta Tau Alpha sorority chapter, as seen above.
She enters the parking garage, and her automobile emerges many minutes later.
According to WISHTV News, Montgomery informed police that he and McMillan had intercourse in the parking garage where they consumed wine and smoked marijuana.
He told the police that he had delivered the booze to her.
The death of McMillan shocked her sorority sisters.

McMillan was a cheerleader, and many who knew her recalled her zeal and dedication to friendships.
Ella Gebke, president of the Zeta Tau Alpha chapter, remarked, “Avery was purposeful about forming relationships.” She went out of her way to be an active and present chapter member, making an effort to get to know everyone. In the collegiate community, she was also recognized as a lovable person who cared for others.
“Avery was usually the first to give a big hug and was so amusing. She remembers the specifics of your life and would inquire about your well-being, recalled sorority sister Megan Dunbar.
