In the show’s teaser, Chip and Joanna Gaines rebuild a castle

Fans got the first look at Chip and Joanna Gaines’ most recent restoration endeavor: a castle.

According to Joanna’s blog post, the “Fixer Upper” pair acquired the castle in their hometown of Waco, Texas, in 2019, realizing Chip’s lifelong goal.

For “Fixer Upper: The Castle,” which launches on the Magnolia Network, HBO Max, and Discovery+ on October 14, Chip and Joanna have also been chronicling the refurbishment.

Friday saw the release of the series’ official trailer, which gave viewers a glimpse of the extensive remodeling work.

Chip noted in the trailer, “I’ve desired this castle for twenty years now. It’s one of the most spectacular estates in the whole Waco, Central Texas region.”

The castle project is distinctive for the Gaineses since it is a restoration rather than a fixer-upper, as they explain in the trailer.

The home was first finished in 1913 and fell into ruin in 1991, according to Magnolia, so they went into the project with the purpose of restoring it to its former condition, which is quite an accomplishment.

Obtaining the exact same stone from 100 years ago has been difficult, Joanna admits in the clip.

Fans of “Fixer Upper” may take small group tours of the castle until October in addition to monitoring the refurbishment progress on Chip and Joanna’s forthcoming television series.

While guests will also learn about the history of the home, the tour will mostly concentrate on Joanna’s approach to creating it.

The tours are now going on, and they will go on through October 26. Children aged 7 and under may attend for free; tickets cost $50.
