The Ikorodu GRA Scheme III encroachment in the Odonla, Lucky Fibre axis of Ikorodu has been reclaimed by the Lagos State Government.

Dr. Idris Salako, the commissioner for physical planning and urban development, revealed this in Alausa on Thursday.

He said the state government had to evict the occupants who were using the property illegally and give the affected area of land back to the original allottees who have Certificates of Occupancy from the Lands Bureau.

He claimed that the action was taken to instil trust in government programmes, provide just compensation to the original allocators, and prevent scheme bastardization.

According to Salako, the illegitimate separation of the property’s original owners from it, the unspeakable development carried out by usurpers, and the deafening protests of allottees were what spurred the action.

He urged unwary customers to beware of fake land offers and warned that land speculators posing as Omo-Onile should avoid further encroaching on government territory.
