Hunter Biden defends ignoring daughter Navy Joan Roberts in Arkansas court while mother demands child support increase and artwork transfer

The saga between Hunter Biden and his youngest daughter, Navy Joan Roberts, has taken another dramatic turn.

The former First Son recently told a court in Arkansas that it “doesn’t matter” he has not been involved in his seven-year-old daughter’s life, reigniting a heated debate over child support and parental responsibility.

Legal Clash Over Child Support and Art Profits

Hunter, 55, filed legal documents attempting to block the reopening of the child support case initiated by Navy’s mother, Lunden Roberts, 34.

Lunden claims Hunter has not fulfilled their 2023 settlement, which granted Navy the profits from his artwork.

The agreement also prevented Navy from taking the Biden last name.

Yet, according to Lunden, Hunter has refused both to communicate with his daughter and to hand over any artwork.

Hunter’s legal team argued the court cannot punish him for failing to contact Navy because there is no formal requirement for him to communicate with her.

They also claimed that the delay in transferring paintings to Navy does not violate the settlement, as there was no set deadline for the handover.

Frustration Over Broken Promises

Lunden’s filing highlighted the emotional toll on Navy, who has begun to understand that her life does not match the privilege of her half-siblings.

She referred to Navy as “MC1” in court filings and urged the judge to ensure her daughter receives comparable support.

Lunden even requested Hunter’s arrest, suggesting he be jailed until he complies with the court order regarding child support and artwork.

The documents also detailed Navy’s yearning for a relationship with her father.

At one point, the young girl reportedly said she could not wait to go to heaven to be with him, reflecting her deep desire for connection despite Hunter’s absence.

Early Relationship and Sudden Withdrawal

After initially denying paternity, Hunter was confirmed as Navy’s father through a DNA test.

Following the confirmation, some father-daughter contact occurred, with scheduled calls helping them bond.

However, Lunden claims that in 2024, Hunter abruptly “ghosted” Navy, leaving her emotionally hurt at only five years old.

Roberts’ filing also notes that Hunter sent some paintings to Navy, but they were not selected by her.

The key concern for Navy was the contact and connection with her father, rather than the artwork itself.

Financial Disparities Fueling the Case

Hunter’s former romantic partner highlighted the contrast between Navy’s life and that of her half-siblings.

Lunden pointed out lavish family trips to Nantucket and exclusive experiences that Navy was excluded from, arguing that the court could at least ensure comparable financial support for her daughter.

Despite previously claiming financial hardship, Hunter reportedly maintained a luxurious lifestyle, living in a $12,000-per-month Hollywood home and driving a Porsche while allegedly avoiding child support payments.

Past Revelations and Public Scrutiny

Documents from Hunter’s abandoned laptop suggest he met Lunden at a Washington, D.C., strip club and employed her at his firm.

Shortly after Navy’s birth in August 2018, Hunter allegedly ensured Lunden was removed from his company’s health insurance plan.

His 2021 memoir claimed he had “no recollection” of Lunden, even as evidence mounted contradicting that statement.

The case has been widely reported on social media and by outlets covering Hunter’s legal troubles, further fueling public interest and scrutiny.

The Fight Continues

As the Arkansas court considers Lunden’s requests for increased child support, artwork transfers, and possible civil penalties, the focus remains on Navy’s well-being and her right to a relationship with her father.

The case underscores the challenges of navigating high-profile family disputes where wealth, fame, and past promises collide.
