Richards Bay FC are the newly crowned champions of GladAfrica Championship for the 2021-22 season following Sunday’s results.
This means the Natal Rich Boyz will be campaigning in the DStv Premiership next season, bringing the number of KwaZulu-Natal clubs in the topflight to five.

Having finished top of GladAfrica Championship log with 54 points from 30 league games, Richads Bay FC didn’t only gain promotion to the DStv Premiership.
They were also handed a trophy, gold medals and a cheque of R3 million as a reward for their efforts throughout the season.
Second-placed AmaTuks walked away with R2 million, and they also stand a chance to make it back to topflight football via the playoffs alongside Cape Town All Stars.
Cape Town All Stars finished third on the standings after 30 games, and they have been handed a R1 million cheque for making the top three.
