Sutton Road in Newport was closed on May 9 due to a house fire.

The fire brigade was alerted to the situation at around 7 am on that day.

According to a witness, the street was cordoned off, with two fire engines and many firefighters present.

Smoke was seen coming from a house with blackened windows, and the firefighters were gathered outside.
