The local community had previously identified the victims as Harvey Evans, aged 15, and Kyrees Sullivan, aged 16. South Wales Police have now confirmed their identities.

The police responded to a serious crash on Snowden Road in Ely at 6:03 pm on Monday, May 22.

However, questions have been raised about the police’s involvement in the events leading up to the crash, as CCTV footage surfaced showing a police van following two individuals on a bike on Frank Road, approximately 900 meters (2,953 feet) away from the suspected crash site.

South Wales Police has stated that the CCTV footage will be included in their investigation and clarified that no police vehicle was present on Snowden Road at the time of the crash.
