Head-on collision in Putfontein leaves one dead last night

A 42-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision on Du Randt Road in Putfontein last night.
At 23h40, ER24 arrived to find two crashed light motor vehicles in the middle of the road. A man’s body was discovered beside one of the cars.
Medics examined the victim and discovered that he had suffered several fatal injuries. There was nothing that could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The second vehicle’s driver was not found at the scene.
Local authorities were present to conduct additional investigations.
