In a heartbreaking turn of events, two police officers and a paramedic lost their lives while responding to a ‘domestic incident’ in a Minneapolis suburb.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning when Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, both 27, along with firefighter and paramedic Adam Finseth, 40, answered a call for a ‘family in danger.’
The Fatal Encounter:
The officers and paramedic were met with tragedy as they arrived at a residence on 33rd Avenue South, Burnsville, around 2:30 am.
Unfortunately, they were met with gunfire, leading to the untimely deaths of Elmstrand, Ruge, and Finseth. Another police officer, Sgt. Adam Medlicott, sustained injuries but is being treated at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
