During the meeting, Governor Uba Sani assured the heads of security agencies that he would provide all necessary resources and logistics to enable them to effectively carry out their duties.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, he emphasized that the safety and security of the people were paramount on his administration’s seven-point agenda.
Governor Urges Inclusive Security Summit to Foster Community Engagement
Expressing his concerns over the recurrent attacks in the state, Governor Sani called upon the heads of security agencies to organize an all-inclusive security summit.
The purpose of this summit would be to promote community engagement and enhance public awareness on matters of public safety and security.
Security Agencies Pledge Commitment to Peace Restoration
The heads of security agencies, in response to Governor Sani’s call, reassured him of their unwavering commitment to restoring peace in troubled areas, particularly the eight frontline local government areas and beyond.
They expressed their dedication to resolving the security challenges and ensuring the safety of the residents.
Omoyele Sowore Criticizes Former Vice President Osinbajo for Alleged Inaction
In a separate development, Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), heavily criticized former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, accusing him of doing nothing to improve the country during his eight years in office.
Sowore claimed that Osinbajo and his principal, former President Muhammadu Buhari, collaborated to the detriment of Nigeria.
Sowore Describes Osinbajo as a Failure and Harshly Criticizes His Performance
Taking to his Twitter account, Sowore shared a video of Osinbajo’s departure from Abuja after the handover ceremony to a new government.
In his tweet, Sowore lambasted the former Vice President, labeling him as a “failure par excellence” and claiming that he had contributed nothing substantial to the development of Nigeria.
Allegations of Nigeria’s Deterioration by Sowore and Comparison to Empty-Handed Return
Continuing his critique, Sowore stated that Osinbajo and Buhari had acted as a destructive duo, causing significant harm to the nation.
Drawing on a phrase from his secondary school principal, Sowore likened Osinbajo’s tenure to going “empty-handed and returning empty-handed,” implying that no positive changes were made during his time in office.
