Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered an investigation into the attack on a bus carrying journalists on Lagos Island on Sunday.

During APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s visit to the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, an altercation erupted between Ebute-Ero and Adeniji, Iga-Iduganran.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has also ordered that those responsible be apprehended and brought to justice. Furthermore, the government will cover the costs of those harmed in the incident’s hospitalization.

“The Lagos State Government condemns the incident,” he stated.

We hold the media in high regard, and the government has always worked to ensure that they have a safe environment in which to carry out their responsibilities. Nobody or any group will be able to sabotage our friendly relationship with the media. Hooligans have no place in Lagos.”
