Fox News political analyst Guy Benson has shared the joyful news that he and his husband, Adam Wise, have welcomed a baby daughter into their family.
The broadcaster announced the birth on social media on Monday, introducing their newborn, Madison Halsey, who was born on July 15.
Benson accompanied the announcement with a series of touching photographs showing him cradling, feeding and cuddling his daughter, offering followers a glimpse into the family’s newest chapter.
Emotional Tribute Marks the Special Occasion
In his announcement, Benson expressed his excitement over becoming a father once again, describing Madison as “perfect” and saying he and Wise felt incredibly fortunate to welcome her into their lives.
He wrote that their hearts were overflowing with gratitude as they celebrated the arrival of their baby girl, adding that the family was thankful for the blessing of expanding their household.
Fox News Personalities Join Celebration
The announcement prompted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from Benson’s colleagues across Fox News.
Legal analyst Emily Compagno welcomed the newborn with an enthusiastic message celebrating the family, while senior correspondent Alicia Acuna praised the couple as they marked another milestone together.
Several other familiar faces from the network, including Martha MacCallum and Maria Bartiromo, also shared their best wishes.
Outside Fox News, conservative figures such as Nikki Haley and Meghan McCain added their congratulations.
Public Coming-Out Became a Turning Point
Benson publicly disclosed that he is gay in May 2015 during the release of his book End of Discussion.
Rather than making a formal public announcement, he included the revelation in a footnote, later explaining that he believed readers deserved transparency because the book discussed issues surrounding gay rights and religious liberty.
Reflecting on the decision in a later interview, Benson said the disclosure was motivated by journalistic ethics and a desire to be open about his personal perspective.
An Unexpected Email Led to Lasting Love
Adam Wise first connected with Benson shortly after watching his appearance on The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly, where the political commentator discussed coming out publicly.
Wise later explained that he reached out because he was trying to reconcile his own conservative beliefs with being gay and felt encouraged by Benson’s openness.
Their correspondence eventually led to an in-person meeting, where they discovered a shared connection while watching the Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer.
Both have since described their relationship as one built on similar personalities, ambition and organization, saying it became apparent early that they were well suited to one another.
Marriage and Parenthood
After becoming engaged in 2018, Benson and Wise married in September 2019 during a ceremony in California’s Napa Valley.
Their family began growing in November 2023 when they welcomed their first child, a son born via surrogate.
The arrival of daughter Madison now marks the couple’s second journey into parenthood, adding another milestone to a relationship that has evolved from an unexpected email into a growing family.
