FG launches N75,000 education bursary application portal

The federal government has announced that the application form for the N75,000 bursary is now available to students.

Scholarship Application Forms are available online at www.education.gov.ng, and the application deadline is October 21, 2022.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made the announcement with the presidential sanction of N75,000 each semester for Nigerian students enrolled in degree programs in the Faculty of Education in public universities around the country.

The eligibility criteria for the Bursary Award

First, to apply for the bursary programme, you must be a student undergoing degree programmes in Education in either public universities or Colleges of Education.
Apart from studying Education in Nigerian universities and Colleges of Education, applicants must be full-time students.
All applicants (physically challenged inclusive) must be in their first year or above.
A beneficiary of any scholarship is not eligible.

The recipients of these stipends are postsecondary students who qualify for N50,000 per semester.

In 2021, during a celebration of World Teachers’ Day in Abuja, the minister stated that the scholarship program was consistent with President Muhammad’s commitment. Buhari on reforming education

“B.Ed./B.E.A. B.Ed., educators in government institutions would receive a subsidy of N75,000.00 every semester.

PTN students will earn a scholarship of N50,000 per semester, he said.

To be eligible for a scholarship award, one must meet certain criteria. Relevant applicants must have graduated from a public university or college of education with a degree in education.

And applicants must be students enrolled full-time.

All applicants must be at least in their first year. including pupils with physical impairments Those who have previously been awarded the scholarship are ineligible to apply.

Only applications submitted through the official portals www.education.gov.ng or https://fsbn.com.ng/applicants/auth/register/35565 will be accepted.

After applying online, download and print the application form.

Applicants are required to submit photocopies of the following materials:
a) Admission letter
b) Current school identification card

The application submission date is Friday, October 21, 2022.
