…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken to social media to ridicule former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the recent judgment by the Supreme Court.
The court had dismissed a suit by Atiku and the PDP that sought to halt the swearing-in of President-elect Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect Senator Kashim Shettima.
Lack of Locus Standi and Party Membership
The suit filed by the PDP aimed to challenge the alleged double nomination of Shettima.
However, the five-member panel of the Supreme Court ruled that the PDP lacked the locus standi, stating that the party is not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fani-Kayode’s Reaction
In response to the court’s verdict, Fani-Kayode took to Twitter to allege that the ruling indicated Atiku and his party’s failure to intimidate or compromise the judges.
The APC chieftain claimed that Atiku’s attempt to pervert justice had been unsuccessful.
Celebrating Victory and Silencing Critics
Fani-Kayode expressed his satisfaction with the dismissal of Atiku and the PDP’s case, asserting that they were shedding tears due to their inability to manipulate the course of justice or influence the judges.
He emphasized the triumph of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and credited the victory to God.
A Hope for Rest and Moving Forward
Concluding his statement, Fani-Kayode expressed his desire that this verdict would finally put an end to the fervent quest for power displayed by those he referred to as “Obidients” and “Atikulators.”
