Extension of deadline for Osha Award applications’ submission till end of June 2022

April 07, 2022, Dubai – The Board of Trustees of the Osha Bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi Award decided to extend the deadline for applications submission till the end of June 2022, to give ample time to the largest possible number of candidates to apply for the second edition of the Award.

The Board of Trustees will continue to receive applications from creative people, poets, and students from all over the Arab world, via e-mail to info@oshaaward.com. Potential candidates can apply to just one category of the competition.

Dr. Rafia Ghubash, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, confirmed that the Board of Trustees has approved the extension of the deadline till the end of June 2022 to give ample time to the largest possible number of candidates to apply for the second edition of the Award held under the slogan ‘Dar Al Wasl’.”

“The award is not like other poetry awards. It is a project to promote the poetry of the Girl of Arabs among generations. That’s why a new category was launched to recognise the best young talent in Nabati poetry. The winner will be selected according to criteria agreed upon by the Board of Trustees,” Dr Ghubash added.

The winners will be announced after a thorough assessment of the entries by the jury committees according to the competition’s criteria. Financial prizes will be awarded to winners in the three categories, and a public figure will be honoured for his/her literary contributions.
