Eva Longoria Reveals the Surprising Breakfast Choice She Shares with Victoria Beckham in Their Culinary Friendship in Los Angeles

David Beckham has expressed a bit of disappointment over his wife’s strict eating habits, consisting mainly of grilled fish and steamed vegetables.

However, his close friend Eva Longoria has revealed a surprising twist to Victoria Beckham’s breakfast routine: a delicious morning feast.

A Breakfast Bond

Eva Longoria, the former Desperate Housewives star, has been friends with the fashion designer for years.

Despite Victoria’s adherence to her strict diet, Eva shared that they both enjoy a hearty breakfast together.

“She’s actually easy because we eat the same breakfast,” Longoria said.

“We both love egg whites and avocado. When we’re together, she makes a great egg white and avocado dish.”

But when dinner rolls around, it’s back to Victoria’s regular fare of steamed fish and vegetables.

Eva insists that having Victoria over for a meal is a breeze, saying, “She is actually easy, not difficult.”

The Grilled Fish Dilemma

This revelation comes on the heels of David Beckham discussing his wife’s diet during an appearance on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast.

He humorously lamented how Victoria has stuck to her culinary routine for 25 years, rarely straying from her beloved grilled fish and steamed veggies.

“I get quite emotional about food and wine,” he shared.

“When I’m eating something great, I want everyone to try it. Unfortunately, I’m married to someone who has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.”

David reminisced about the one time Victoria deviated from her diet, which happened when she was pregnant with their daughter Harper.

“I can’t remember what it was, but I know she’s not eaten it since,” he added with a chuckle.

A Culinary Conundrum

Victoria has been candid about her dietary preferences, admitting that she avoids oil, butter, and sauces, as well as red meat and dairy.

On the podcast, she jokingly referred to herself as “probably [restaurants’] worst nightmare,” explaining, “I like things to be cooked in a very simple way.

I don’t like oils or butters or sauces. This is where I sound even more boring in the food department.”

When it comes to comfort food, she surprisingly enjoys a slice of whole grain toast sprinkled with salt.

On her birthday, she opts for a fruit cake, stating, “It’s that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted, and I love salt.”

Eva’s Flavorful Kitchen

While Victoria sticks to her routine, Eva Longoria has embraced a much more varied culinary lifestyle.

Recently, she launched her own cookbook, My Mexican Kitchen: 100 Recipes Rich With Tradition, Flavor, and Spice, filled with dishes inspired by her travels across Mexico.

As a proud “Texican,” Eva has consolidated over 1,000 recipes into this vibrant collection.

“A family favorite is tacos,” she confessed, highlighting her love for taco nights.

“I know that’s typical, but I love a taco night. We could have taco night every night of the week… my family loves tacos.”

Living in Spain with her husband, José Bastón, and their six-year-old son, Santiago, Eva enjoys cooking for her family and doesn’t rely on a private chef.

She proudly stated, “Santiago will eat anything,” which makes mealtime even more enjoyable.

Cooking with Passion

Eva’s enthusiasm for food shines through her cookbook, where she captures the rich flavors and traditions that inspire her cooking.

Unlike her friend Victoria, who keeps her meals simple, Eva embraces a more adventurous approach in the kitchen.

As she continues to explore new recipes and culinary experiences, My Mexican Kitchen promises to offer a delightful array of dishes that celebrate the joy of cooking and sharing meals with loved ones.
