Errol Musk, the 79-year-old father of billionaire Elon Musk, has made headlines again with a controversial claim about the future of the United States.
In a recent interview on CNN’s new show MisinfoNation: White Genocide, Errol said he believes America is “doomed” because projections indicate that white Americans could become a minority within the next 20 years.
The show, hosted by Donnie O’Sullivan, explores claims about “white genocide” in South Africa—a topic Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump discussed earlier this year. Errol Musk’s remarks about U.S. demographics quickly sparked a heated conversation on air.
A Heated Exchange on Air
During the interview, O’Sullivan highlighted the Census Bureau’s projections, noting that by 2045, minorities are expected to make up a slight majority in the U.S., with Hispanics at 24.6%, Black Americans at 13.1%, and Asians at 7.9%. Errol appeared visibly shocked by this information.
He warned that whites becoming a minority would be “a very, very bad thing” and questioned whether Americans were ready for such a shift.
At one point, he asked, “You want to see the U.S. go down? Why? You don’t like cars or technology?” His comments quickly escalated into a tense back-and-forth with the host.
Contentious Views on South African Apartheid
The discussion then turned to South Africa. Errol argued that he never witnessed oppression of minorities during Apartheid, suggesting that white South Africans “learned from Europe.”
O’Sullivan strongly challenged this, pointing out that millions of Black South Africans were oppressed for decades.
Errol doubled down, insisting that providing work and sustenance to Black South Africans was not oppression, but rather “feeding them” and allowing them to grow as a population.
The exchange left both men visibly frustrated, highlighting deep disagreements over history and perspective.
Family Controversy Overshadows Remarks
The interview comes amid renewed scrutiny of Errol Musk’s personal life. A recent report by The New York Times detailed allegations that he sexually abused five of his children and stepchildren dating back to 1993. Some allegations involve children as young as four.
These claims are cited as a reason for Errol’s strained relationship with his son Elon, though Errol vehemently denies all accusations, calling them “false and nonsense in the extreme.”
According to the report, multiple police investigations were opened, but no convictions resulted. Errol maintains that some claims were fabricated by family members attempting to manipulate Elon financially.
Looking Ahead
Errol Musk’s latest statements, both on U.S. demographics and his views on South African history, continue to generate strong reactions online and in media circles.
As America approaches projected demographic shifts over the next two decades, debates about race, history, and societal change are likely to intensify.
Meanwhile, his family history and the unresolved allegations continue to cast a long shadow over the Musk name, drawing attention as much as his controversial opinions do.
