The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has advised President-elect Bola Ahmad Tinubu to prioritize interfaith dialogue and peaceful coexistence in the country.


Speaking at the inauguration of the Interfaith Facilitators’ Guide organized by Action Aid Nigeria, the monarch urged Tinubu to establish a Ministry of Religious Affairs dedicated to fostering interfaith conversations.

Establishing a Ministry for Interfaith Conversation:

The Emir, represented by Babba Dan-Agundi, the District Head of Nasarawa, emphasized that such a ministry would play a crucial role in promoting religious tolerance and understanding among Nigerians.

She emphasized the importance of living in harmony, regardless of differences in tribe, religion, or political affiliation, for the collective growth and progress of the nation.

It is worth noting that in April, President-elect Bola Ahmad Tinubu received the Emir of Kano at his Asokoro residence in Abuja.
