Emails show Prince Andrew persistently requested access to Jeffrey Epstein’s Paris and New York homes, intensifying public scrutiny and calls for investigation

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor repeatedly contacted Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier, asking to use his multi-million-pound properties in Paris and New York.

The emails, revealed in the latest tranche of US court files, show that the former Duke of York persistently sought access to Epstein’s homes while the sex offender was on house arrest following a 13-month sentence for soliciting a child for prostitution in 2009.

The messages paint a picture of Andrew not just requesting accommodation for himself, but occasionally acting on behalf of his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Epstein’s response was typically accommodating, offering not only the use of his properties but also cars and drivers.

Early Requests Shortly After Epstein’s Release

Just six weeks after Epstein’s release, Andrew emailed him out of the blue with the subject line “Paris.”

In the message, he made casual conversation before asking for a three-night stay at Epstein’s Paris apartment.

He even acknowledged the potential inappropriateness of his request, adding a polite caveat: “If this is either inappropriate or unavailable then I apologise for asking.”

Epstein replied positively, saying “of course,” and offered the royal the use of his car and driver during the visit.

Andrew responded effusively, thanking him “so very much for your hospitality.”

Months later, in November 2009, Andrew requested the same Paris apartment again for a weekend visit, combining the ask with holiday greetings.

He later sent a follow-up email thanking Epstein for allowing him to stay at his “wonderful apartment” in the French capital.

Involvement of Sarah Ferguson

Emails also indicate that Sarah Ferguson made use of Epstein’s properties.

In February 2010, Andrew wrote on Ferguson’s behalf, asking if she could stay in Epstein’s 21,000 sq ft New York mansion. References to “S” in the emails were widely understood to mean Ferguson.

Earlier, Epstein had instructed his staff to organize accommodations for Ferguson during her visits, including for her goddaughter, Laura McGowan, then 22.

Ferguson reportedly even visited Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion just five days after his release from prison, bringing daughters Beatrice and Eugenie along.

Luxury and Controversy Intertwined

Andrew’s visits to Epstein’s properties included stays at the Paris apartment on Avenue Foch, a red-panelled residence notorious for hosting private recordings of young women and where political figures like Peter Mandelson were photographed in compromising situations.

While there is no public suggestion of wrongdoing by Andrew at the properties, the association with Epstein and the use of his luxury homes have fueled public criticism and humiliation.

He also stayed for nine days at Epstein’s 40-room, seven-storey New York mansion, where he and Epstein were photographed together in Central Park — an image that has resurfaced repeatedly in media coverage.

Fallout and Repercussions

Last October, King Charles stripped Andrew of all his remaining titles, removed him from Royal Lodge, and publicly expressed concern over the mounting allegations against his brother.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed it is ready to support any police investigation into Andrew’s conduct, which now includes claims that he may have leaked confidential information to Epstein during his tenure as the UK’s trade envoy.

The revelations of persistent requests and use of Epstein’s properties will likely intensify calls for further investigation, adding another layer to the former prince’s ongoing public disgrace.

What’s next?

Andrew faces continued scrutiny from both law enforcement and the public.

Investigators are expected to review communications, property usage, and potential links to confidential data shared with Epstein.

Further revelations could emerge from additional emails or documents not yet released.

Public and media interest in the case remains intense, and the former Duke’s reputation will continue to be closely examined in the coming months.

Summary

Emails show Prince Andrew persistently requested access to Jeffrey Epstein’s luxury properties in Paris and New York, shortly after the financier’s release from prison.

He occasionally made these requests on behalf of his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and benefited from Epstein’s cars and drivers.

While no direct wrongdoing at the properties has been suggested, the revelations have deepened Andrew’s public humiliation, intensified calls for investigation, and contributed to his stripping of royal titles.

Buckingham Palace has stated its readiness to support any police inquiry as scrutiny over Andrew’s relationship with Epstein continues.
