Ekiti State University (EKSU) Reviews Charges for the Forthcoming Convocation

Consequent upon consultations with relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to the National President of EKSU Alumni Association, the National President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), SSA to the Governor on Students’ Matters, President of EKSU Students’ Union, Chairman of Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Ekiti State; Management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, at a meeting held on Friday, 11th March, 2022, decided to review downwards the administrative and other charges in connection with the forthcoming 40th anniversary and combined 25th & 26th convocation ceremonies, as indicated below:

A) SUB-DEGREE AND FIRST DEGREE: 

  1. Certificate – #25,000:00
  2. Transcript (student’s copy) #5, 000:00
  3. Brochure – #6,000:00
  4. Gown. – #7,500:00
  5. Anniversary Levy- #5000:00
  6. Advancement & Linkages – #500:00

 Total – # 49,000:00k

 B) PGD AND MASTERS DEGREE: 

  1. Certificate – #30,000:00
  2. Transcript (student’s copy)- #5,000:00
  3. Gown – #15,000:00
  4. Brochure – #6,000:00
  5. Anniversary Levy – #5000:00
  6. Advancement & Linkages – #500:00

 Total-. #61,500:00k

 C) Ph.D: 

  1. Certificate – #50,000:00
  2. Gown – #60,000:00 (take away)
  3. Brochure – #6,000:00
  4. Anniversary Levy – #5000:00
  5. Advancement & Linkages – #500:00

TOTAL-. #121,500:00k

Management further reiterated that collection of the Certificate shall not be by proxy and that it is contingent on presentation of valid clearance.

Graduands are to note that any payment earlier made at the point of collection of Notification of Results should not be repeated.

Management also stated that it has not barred any graduand from attending the convocation ceremonies in person, except that only those who made first class will be allowed into the auditorium to maintain physical/social distancing in line with COVID-19 protocols. Meanwhile, others can stay under the canopies if they prefer to attend in person, while provision has also been made to enable graduands and others join any of the ceremonies virtually.
