Eco-activists target Dutch museum’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring” masterpiece

The renowned ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ by Dutch master Johannes Vermeer was targeted by climate activists at a museum in The Hague, Dutch TV NOS reported on Thursday, but the painting was apparently not harmed.

The Dutch police stated that three arrests were made at a museum, but provided no further information.

ANP said that the artwork at the Mauritshuis in The Hague was not considered to have been destroyed.
