This is part of its efforts to promote a culture of health and safety within society.

The Week features innovative virtual interactive activities and educational games for school and university students to help them learn about the latest health and safety procedures and standards.

They can also take part in online competitions, in Arabic and English, to win prizes.

Visitors to City Walk on 26th and 27th November scan the QR Code at DEWA’s stand to participate in activities and online competitions.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, stated that DEWA organises the annual Health and Safety Week as part of its responsibility towards society and its commitment to instil and promote a culture of health and safety.

This supports the nation’s efforts and ensure a healthier, safer, and brighter future, for generations to come.

“We focus on improving the health and safety standards across all DEWA’s projects and operations in line with our Integrated Administrative Systems Policy.

This is our commitment to the effective implementation of quality, health, safety and environmental management systems.

This helps us provide electricity and water services to the highest standards of availability, reliability, efficiency, and quality, while implementing the best health and safety standards as well as sustainability of resources,” said Al Tayer.

Al Tayer noted that the public’s commitment to preventative measures, and adhering to health and safety requirements set out by UAE authorities, having contributed to the country being one of the first countries to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He encouraged everyone to adhere to all necessary measures to continue the recovery journey and return to normalcy.
