Council President Juarez Denounces Hate in the Wake of Anti-Semitic Graffiti in Seattle

Seattle, WA – Council President Debora Juarez (District 5 – North Seattle) issued the following statement after anti-Semitic graffiti was found across the street from Jewish Family Services:
“We will not tolerate antisemitism or hate in Seattle. I join Mayor Harrell in speaking out against this act of vandalism. Seattleites are kind.
We stand for inclusion. We welcome those in need. Living the spirit of these values are the outstanding people who work at Jewish Family Services. T
hey are grounded in healing: providing mental health and addiction services, assistance for immigrants and refugees, operating a food bank, and so much more.
They represent the best of Seattle. I stand with the Jewish Family Service – we must lead with light, not darkness and division.
