Competition Bureau invites feedback on draft Information Bulletin on Transparency

The Competition Bureau has published a draft Information Bulletin on Transparency and invites interested parties to provide feedback no later than May 6, 2022.

The bulletin explains the approach the Bureau takes in communicating with different groups of people during its investigations. These groups include those who are subject to an investigation, as well as the general public, complainants, and industry participants.

The bulletin will replace the Information Bulletin on Communication during Inquiries published in 2014. This new version reflects the evolution of the Bureau’s practices since that time, and uses plain language to make it more accessible to Canadians.

Providing information about how the Bureau communicates with Canadians promotes transparency and accountability in its work. The Bureau is seeking feedback on these practices to further enhance transparency and to increase awareness of how its work impacts Canadian consumers and businesses.

Interested parties are invited to submit their comments through the online feedback form or by mail to the address below. Each submission received by the Bureau will be published on its website unless the provider specifically requests that it be kept confidential.
