Christian Saile will not be returning to Kaizer Chiefs for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The 25-year-old striker, who had been linked with a return to his former club, has now found his future firmly secured at SuperSport United.
Permanent Move to SuperSport United
Originally, Saile’s switch to SuperSport United was believed to be a loan agreement, part of the deal that saw Tashreeq Morris head to Kaizer Chiefs in January.
However, recent reports have confirmed that Saile’s move was a permanent one.
It’s still unclear whether SuperSport United paid a transfer fee to Kaizer Chiefs for his services, but the deal is solidified, and Saile is no longer part of Chiefs’ plans for the new season.
SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews confirmed the news, stating that Saile’s contract includes an option to extend his stay until the end of the 2027-28 season.
This means Saile has a contract lasting one and a half years with the club, giving him the stability he needs as he continues to develop.
Impressive Start at SuperSport United
Since joining the club, Saile has made an impact, scoring twice in his first 12 appearances.
While he hasn’t yet provided an assist, his contributions have been noted, and with his future now sorted, he’ll be aiming to build on these early performances.
In total, Saile has appeared in 68 competitive matches since his arrival in South Africa two years ago.
During his time at Kaizer Chiefs, he played 56 games, scored seven goals, and provided four assists, becoming an important player in the team.
