Charly Boy Berates President Bola Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominees

Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, has expressed strong criticism towards President Bola Tinubu’s choice of politicians in his ministerial nominees list.

Charly Boy believes that many of the nominees come across as criminals, and he highlights one particular nominee, Prof Joseph Utsev, whose educational background has been a subject of controversy in the Senate.

Questionable Background of Prof Joseph Utsev:

Charly Boy raises concerns about Prof Joseph Utsev’s educational history, questioning the credibility of his claims.

According to Utsev’s Curriculum Vitae, he was born in 1980 and allegedly completed his secondary education in 1989.

This timeline has caused doubt among critics, as finishing secondary school at the age of nine appears highly improbable.

Academic and Professional Achievements of Prof Joseph Utsev:

Despite the controversies surrounding his educational history, Prof Joseph Utsev boasts impressive academic and professional achievements.

He claims to have graduated as the top student in the Department of Civil Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

Subsequently, in 2009, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Water Engineering from the same university.

Moreover, Prof Utsev holds the distinction of being the pioneer rector of the Benue State Polytechnic, a position he assumed in 2020.

Charly Boy’s Scathing Critique on Twitter:

Unimpressed by the nominee’s claims, Charly Boy took to Twitter to express his disdain.

He labeled the nominees as “lying idiots” and “crooks,” suggesting that they lack integrity and honesty.

Charly Boy further lambasted the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), for appointing individuals with questionable backgrounds and dubious credentials to ministerial positions.

Charly Boy’s sharp criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees, particularly the questionable background of Prof Joseph Utsev, highlights the need for transparency and accountability in the selection process of public officials.

The controversy surrounding Utsev’s educational credentials brings attention to the importance of vetting candidates thoroughly to ensure their suitability for public service.
