What was meant to be a celebratory trip for Caitlyn Jenner turned into a night of chaos and fear as rockets flew over Tel Aviv.
The 75-year-old former Olympian had traveled to Israel to take part in the city’s Pride parade, but instead found herself sheltering in a secure area as Iranian missiles rained down around her hotel.
While the air raid sirens wailed outside and explosions echoed through the city, Jenner remained in contact with her loved ones, updating them through text messages.
“Please pray,” she wrote to a family member, trying to stay calm.
When asked if the bombs were loud, she simply replied, “Yes.”
Staying Calm and Holding a Glass of Wine
Despite the terrifying circumstances, Caitlyn somehow managed to keep her composure.
According to a relative, she had cell service throughout the first wave of attacks and handled the situation with surprising calm.
In fact, she even took a moment to snap a photo with Israeli influencer Regev Gur, glass of red wine in hand, while tucked away in what appeared to be a bomb shelter.
Gur posted the picture on social media with a cheeky caption: “And what did you do during the sirens? Because I’m drinking wine with Caitlyn.”
A Trip Meant to Show Support
Jenner had been excited for this trip for weeks.
She posted several updates about her travels on Instagram, sharing photos from her visits to Jerusalem’s Western Wall, Kibbutz Be’eri, and the Nova Festival site.
“My heart is here, with the beautiful people of Israel,” she wrote in one post.
In another, she added, “I’m visiting the resilient people of Israel as the nation continues to recover and restore its place in the Middle East.”
Her family said this wasn’t just another event—attending the Pride parade in Tel Aviv had been a dream.
“It was supposed to be a great time,” one relative shared.
Plans Canceled and Travel Halted
But things quickly took a dark turn. The night before the Pride parade, Israel launched a military operation targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities.
In response, Iran fired back with ballistic missiles across multiple Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.
Due to the rising threat, parade organizers canceled the event for safety reasons.
Airports across the country also shut down, leaving Jenner temporarily stranded in the region.
In the Heart of the Danger Zone
As Iranian missiles broke through parts of Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, buildings were damaged and dozens of people were injured.
Photos captured the haunting sight of rockets lighting up the sky above Tel Aviv’s skyline.
Jenner kept her followers informed during the chaos, sharing a dramatic image of missile interceptions on social media.
“Quiet night in Tel Aviv,” she captioned it. “Pray for us all. We will prevail.”
In Touch With the Embassy, Trusting in Safety
Jenner has reportedly been in regular contact with the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv.
She was advised to remain in a windowless area for her safety, and according to those close to her, she’s been doing just that.
Despite everything, her family says Caitlyn is in good spirits.
“She doesn’t seem overly worried,” a relative shared. “She says she’ll be fine and that Israel will protect her.”
Taking It All In Stride
For now, Caitlyn Jenner remains in Tel Aviv, staying safe and keeping calm even as the situation around her remains tense.
She’s leaning on her optimism, her faith, and her connection to those back home.
As she waits for the storm to pass—literally—her supporters and loved ones continue to watch the news and pray that this surreal detour in her journey ends safely and soon.
