Cairo Opera House concertmaster to perform at music festival in Bulgaria

Cairo Opera, the main performing arts venue in the Egyptian capital, will have an imprint on the March Music Days, an annual music festival being held in Rousse, Bulgaria, which attracts many elite musicians.

Tsvetelina Krasteva, concertmaster of the Cairo Opera House, will perform at the festival in Bulgaria, Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) reported on Tuesday.

Krasteva has played with the orchestra of the Cairo Opera House since 2002 and has been its concertmaster since 2007.

“I grew up with this festival and it is very dear to me. Being part of the festival is a great honour and pleasure,” she said.

March Music Days is on until 27th March.

It will bring to the stage over 600 performers from Bulgaria and other countries, with seven orchestral programmes, 11 ensemble concerts, an opera performance and two exhibitions.

The festival is organised by the Ruse City Hall with the support of the Culture Ministry.
