Broadmeadows, Melbourne: Car hits daycare center as it opens

Around nine in the morning, when a daycare center was opening for the day, an automobile plowed through the front of the building.

The event happened at the Bright Beginnings Family Day Care Center in the Melbourne suburb of Broadmeadows in the outer northeast.

The truck appeared to have smashed through the front of the center and completely entered the inside, according to 9News’s footage of the incident.

There are several firefighters and emergency responders on the site.

A mother and a toddler were both observed being loaded onto a stretcher and taken by ambulance.

On the center’s front, there are piles of rubble and rubbish.
