In a harrowing turn of events, 22-year-old Josh Ziv from London experienced a horrific skiing accident while on a family holiday in Courmayeur, Italy.
The incident saw him fall from a 20ft cliff, resulting in severe injuries that would alter the course of his life.
Extent of Injuries: Nearly Every Facial Bone Broken, Major Surgery Required
Upon being airlifted to a hospital in Turin, it was discovered that Ziv had sustained extensive injuries, including fractures to nearly every bone in his face, except his jaw.
Additionally, he suffered a broken pelvis, ribs, a punctured lung, and a dislocated shoulder, necessitating immediate medical attention.
Extensive Surgical Intervention: 12-Hour Surgery and Facial Reconstruction
Ziv underwent a grueling 12-hour surgery to reconstruct his facial and skull bones, which involved the installation of titanium plates.
The procedure, which left him with a significant scar stretching from ear to ear, aimed to restore his facial structure and functionality.

Following the surgery, Ziv faced a long and arduous road to recovery.
