Season two of the highly-anticipated period drama, Bridgerton hit Netflix on Friday 25 February and fans are loving it! The series takes a shift from the Duke and Dutchess of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dyenevor) and shines the spotlight on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley).
‘BRIDGERTON’ SEASON TWO
In the second season of Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton sibling, Anthony, is looking for a suitable wife. Things don’t seem to be coming together for Anthony until he meets Kate and her younger sister, Edwina.
“When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions – a true love match is not high on his priority list – and decides to do everything in her power to stop the union,” reads the synopsis.
“But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides.”

FANS PRAISE THE NEW SEASON
Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the new season of Bridgerton, many praised Simone Ashley’s role in the series.
One tweep wrote: “Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma is the most perfect casting ever.”
Another tweep wrote: “Congratulations to these two for being first of their class in chemistry.”
“I don’t think anyone can top Kate and Anthony. The whole story was so perfect to me. Anthony’s struggle to be noble all the time and Kate having her own struggles and challenging him.”
RENEWED FOR SEASONS THREE AND FOUR
“There are eight Bridgerton siblings and as far as I’m concerned, there are eight Bridgerton seasons. And maybe more,” said Rhimes.
The television producer added that she thinks Regé-Jean Page won’t be returning to the series.
“He’s an enormous star now. As I like to say, the idea that we would write Regé to stand around in the background doesn’t make any sesne at all to me.”
“‘What would he do?’ Is what I like to say?”
