A press conference about the current state of football around the country was held at SAFA House on Friday, where it was confirmed that besides hoping to host the CL final, SAFA also aims to host the second edition of the CAF Women’s Championship final.
Last year’s Champions League final was held at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, where Al Ahly beat Kaizer Chiefs 3-0.

fAter narrowly beating Al-Merrikh 3-2 last weekend, Al Ahly now sit second in CAF Champions League Group A with four points. The Reds are three points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who beat them 1-0 and are undefeated after three matches this season.
Al Ahly have a powerful squad that recently arrived in South Africa, but there are a trio of players battling with injury less than 48 hours from kick-off, according to the KingFut website.Right-back Mohamed Hany, midfielder Hamdi Fathi and right-winger Hussein El-Shahat are all suffering muscle strains and their participation in the match is in doubt.

Part of the disgraceful scenes also saw despicable and insulting posters held aloft as Mosimane and his team arrived in their team bus at the Lucas Moripe Stadium last May.
