Bafana was eliminated from the second round of the CHAN after falling to Angola at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday afternoon, losing 6-1 overall.

After scoring first, Bafana had a chance to qualify again, but they lost their way and ultimately lost by a lopsided margin.

Helman Mkhalele, an assistant coach for Bafana Bafana, expressed optimism before the game that the team could still turn around its first-leg defeat in the CHAN qualification round.

Last weekend, South Africa lost 2-0 to Angola in the first leg of the second round of CHAN qualifiers, and they were once more unable to compete for the entire 80 minutes on Sunday.

Due to a clause in his contract that forbids him from participating in events like the COSAFA Cup and the CHAN, Mkhalele has been in charge of the team.
