Arsenal’s Injury Updates: Saka Fit, Partey Still Recovering
Return of Saka Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit to play against Everton on Sunday.
Reports had surfaced suggesting that Saka was nursing an Achilles problem after being on the bench for England’s win over Scotland and playing the final 19 minutes, however, Arteta reassured fans that the winger is in good shape and trained normally on Friday in preparation for the match.
“Every player has always pains or issues, but nothing to worry about,” said Arteta regarding Saka’s fitness.
Partey’s Prolonged Absence On the other hand, Arsenal will continue to be without Thomas Partey this weekend. The midfielder is still recovering from a groin injury he sustained just before the international break. Arteta confirmed that Partey is targeting a return to action next month but is still “a few weeks away” from being back in the lineup.
Expected Arsenal Lineup With Saka fit to play, Arsenal’s likely XI for the match against Everton is as follows: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
Match Details The match is scheduled for Sunday at 4:30 pm GMT and will be broadcast on Sky Sports. It will take place at Goodison Park, with Simon Hooper as the referee.
Arsenal Squad List The squad list for Arsenal includes Ramsdale, Raya, Hein; Gabriel, Cedric, Kiwior, Saliba, Timber, Tomiyasu, White, Zinchenko; Havertz, Jorginho, Odegaard, Rice, Smith Rowe, Vieira; Jesus, Martinelli, Nelson, Nketiah, Saka, and Trossard.
Injured Players Elneny is sidelined due to a knee injury, and Partey continues to recover from a groin injury.
