Just a few months ago, Khanyi Mbau got dragged for the kinds of wigs she wore on the reality tv show Young, Rich, and African.

The actress and media personality was even ridiculed by American TikTok users who couldn’t believe that Khanyi wore those kinds of wigs on her TV show.

It appears Khanyi isn’t the only South African woman with a wig issue after reality TV star Annie Ludick also got trolled for her wig.

It all started when a clip was shared by @rea_modiga on Twitter on Thursday 28 April, of Annie getting her wig installed.

The jokes almost instantly started rolling in as Twitter users pointed out that the wig was poorly installed and way too close to her eyebrows to appear natural.

One Twitter user, @sinentombi wrote:

“Yazi it could’ve worked had the bands been thinner and the closure be placed exactly on top of her hairline but now it looks like curtains.”

Another, @phumla said:

“I hope this isn’t for the reunion :joy::joy:imagine sounding ridiculous AND looking ridiculous”

While @busisiwe412 said:

“Ai ngeke da way she was saying she’s rich. She should’ve hired a celebrity hairstylist to do her hair akere she always says she has money..”

She hits back

The star however wasn’t taking the criticism laying down and quickly told the “haters” where to get off.

“So vele people just come on this app to be the ugliest versions of themselves?” she wrote while adding:

“ I look better than you on your birthday
