APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s position threatened by elements within the party

Dispelling Unfounded Claims

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has strongly refuted speculations about an alleged plan to remove the current National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.

Reports had surfaced concerning the appearance of posters featuring Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, in prominent locations around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), notably near the Federal Secretariat and structures surrounding the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

Signs of a Potential Shift in Leadership

The posters, adorned with the slogan “APC Next Level, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as APC National Chairman Leading the Change, Building a Stronger APC,” raised eyebrows and fueled rumors of a clandestine effort to displace Abdullahi Ganduje.

According to sources within the party, the maneuver to unseat the current chairman appears to be orchestrated by factions both within and outside the APC.

Regional Dynamics at Play

Insiders revealed that this latest development might be part of a broader strategy by elements from the North Central zone to reclaim the position of the national chairman, which had been secured by the North West, the region from which Ganduje originates.

APC’s Firm Stand and Loyalty

In response to these developments, Felix Morka, speaking to Vanguard, urged Yahaya Bello to refrain from distracting the party with his purported ambitions.

He emphasized the need for the current National Working Committee (NWC), led by Ganduje, to concentrate on fortifying the party.

Morka dismissed the notion of a leadership vacancy at the APC national secretariat and reaffirmed the loyalty of the NWC to Abdullahi Ganduje.
