Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that Governor Obiano stated this in a statewide broadcast at his country home, Aguleri in Anambra East Local Government Area.
Governor Obiano who thanked Ndi Anambra for choosing to stand on the path of positive history to reclaim the dignity of the people, pointed out that the victory belongs to Ndi Anambra, with special commendation to Ebenebe women and Party faithful who resisted financial inducement and also commended Ndi Anambra in the diaspora for their contributions to the exercise.
While stating that he places merit above narrow interest, Governor Obiano emphasized that the Governor-elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has a name to protect and will make the State proud.
The Governor however, maintained that the victory is not a winner takes it all affair, stating that the door remains open to accommodate more people in the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA to work together to build a prosperous State.
He commended President Mohammadu Buhari for keeping to his promise and also used the opportunity to commend the active roles played by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA Dr Victor Oye, former National Chairman of the party, Senator Victor Umeh, Church leaders, Traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders, as well as the security agencies.
