President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, recently disclosed that he faced numerous challenges that almost led him to abandon the refinery project.


However, during the commissioning of the refinery project in Lagos, he acknowledged the encouragement he received from certain individuals and how their support made the world’s largest single-train refinery a reality.

Dangote attributed his desire to enter the petroleum sector to two decades ago and expressed gratitude to the many parties and individuals who contributed to the success of the refinery project.
