Airlink Expands Route Network with Direct Flights from Johannesburg to Malawi

The service is set to commence in September 2023, expanding Airlink’s comprehensive route network to include its 16th country.

This development aims to support the revitalization of tourism and the ongoing Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.

By offering conveniently scheduled flights and seamless connections within the region and worldwide through partnerships, Airlink aims to facilitate tourism growth and contribute to the country’s economic diversification objectives outlined in the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.

Flight Schedule and Itinerary

Airlink’s new Malawi flights will commence on September 4 for the Johannesburg-Lilongwe route and September 5 for the Johannesburg-Blantyre route.

– Flight 4Z460: Departure from Johannesburg at 11:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with arrival in Lilongwe at 13:20.

– Return Flight 4Z461: Departure from Lilongwe at 14:10 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, reaching Johannesburg at 16:25.

For the Blantyre route:

– Flight 4Z450: Departure from Johannesburg at 11:00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving in Blantyre at 13:01.
– Return Flight 4Z451: Departure from Blantyre at 14:15 on the same days, with arrival in Johannesburg at 16:35.
