Air Force legend Brig. Gen. Charles E. McGee laid to rest today at Arlington National Cemetery

Brig. Gen. Charles E. McGee, a Tuskegee Airman and Air Force icon, was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery on June 17.

Many senior military officers attended the event to offer a final farewell to the historic figure, together with his family and prominent guests.

General Mark A. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall, and Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr. all attended the service.

McGee, who was 102 years old when he died on January 16, 2022.
