Aimee Lou Wood shares a passionate kiss with co-star Adam Long during cosy coffee date in London as romance rumours heat up on set of BBC’s Film Club

Forget the red carpet and formal announcements — Aimee Lou Wood and Adam Long might just be the newest celeb couple making headlines in the most low-key way possible.

The two were spotted getting cozy during a laid-back coffee date in London over the weekend, and honestly, they looked more like longtime lovers than just co-stars.

Spotted: Coffee, Cuddles, and a Lot of Chemistry

Aimee and Adam were seen outside a local café sharing a kiss and a warm embrace that didn’t go unnoticed by onlookers.

Dressed casually but stylishly, Aimee wore a denim waistcoat, wide-leg jeans, and cute red ballet flats.

Meanwhile, Adam kept it chilled in a Levi’s tee, shorts, and sneakers.

They’re both starring in the upcoming BBC show Film Club, and while neither has officially confirmed anything romantic, their body language seemed to speak volumes.

From Screen Partners to Something More?

Interestingly, this isn’t just a new romance out of nowhere.

Aimee and Adam met while filming Film Club, a series that Aimee actually co-wrote.

In it, they play — you guessed it — a couple. And by the looks of their growing off-screen closeness, life may be imitating art here.

Aimee has been engaging with Adam’s Instagram posts since their casting was announced in November.

She even hyped him up after he completed a charity run for men’s mental health, enthusiastically commenting, “YOU DID IT!!!!!!!”

What Film Club Is All About

The series, set to air on BBC Three and iPlayer, follows Evie (played by Aimee), who hasn’t left her house in six months following a personal crisis.

Every Friday night, she and her best friend Noa host “Film Club,” but things shift dramatically when Noa announces he’s leaving town for a new job.

The storyline explores whether their friendship has actually been something deeper all along — and adds in plenty of family chaos, awkward love triangles, and laugh-out-loud moments.

Adam plays Josh, Evie’s love interest, while Suranne Jones and Liv Hill round out the cast.

A Passion Project Years in the Making

Speaking about the show, Aimee shared how Film Club has been close to her heart for a decade.

She developed it with co-creator Ralph Davies, and after years of writing, the pair finally saw it come to life during filming in Manchester last year.

“It’s such a dream come true,” Aimee said.

“Getting to bring this to life with an amazing cast like Nabhaan and Suranne has been the biggest honour.”

Aimee’s Love Life: Past and Present

Fans might remember that Aimee previously dated Sex Education co-star Connor Swindells.

The two were together for about two years before breaking up in 2020.

The split was mutual and drama-free, according to Aimee, who later reflected that sometimes two people just bring out unhealthy patterns in each other.

She told Grazia that while she and Connor still love and respect each other, being single again felt like “a dam bursting,” as it helped her reconnect with her identity outside of a relationship.

Connor has since moved on and is now married to Peaky Blinders actress Amber Anderson.

When Comedy Goes Too Far: Aimee’s Clash With SNL

Not all headlines in Aimee’s world have been about love.

Earlier this year, she hit back at Saturday Night Live after a skit appeared to mock her teeth and accent.

Comedian Sarah Sherman played a caricature of Aimee’s White Lotus character Chelsea, complete with fake teeth and exaggerated British slang.

While Aimee has no issue with parody, she found the skit a bit too mean-spirited.

On Instagram, she wrote that the joke felt “cheap” and unfairly targeted her appearance — especially considering the rest of the sketch was “punching up” while she was the only one being “punched down on.”

Clearing the Air: That Rumoured Feud With Walton Goggins

And then there was the supposed drama with White Lotus co-star Walton Goggins.

After eagle-eyed fans noticed the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram, rumors of a feud took off.

But last week, they shut it all down in a joint interview with Variety.

Walton gushed that he “adores” Aimee and called her “so important” to him.

Aimee also chimed in, saying it’s wild how obsessed people have become with social media actions like unfollowing, which really don’t mean anything in the bigger picture.

She said she wished people focused more on the actual story of their White Lotus characters, Rick and Chelsea, instead of stirring drama.

Aimee’s Career Keeps Soaring

While her personal life draws plenty of attention, Aimee’s work schedule is busier than ever.

In addition to Film Club, she’s working on the second season of her BBC comedy Daddy Issues.

She’s also stepping into a darker role in the crime-thriller Sweet Dreams, a film described as “a British Fargo.”

Adam’s Journey From Happy Valley to Leading Man

Adam Long, best known for his role as Lewis Whippey in Happy Valley, has been building a solid TV career.

Most recently, he appeared in ITV’s Protection, reuniting with his Happy Valley co-star Siobhan Finneran.

He also has credits in Day Of The Jackal and Waterloo Road.

Though he’s remained tight-lipped about his personal life until now, this budding romance with Aimee may just be the start of something new for him — both on screen and off.
