According to information received by Kossyderrickent, unknown gunmen raided Umudiji Umuohama Village, Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Saturday and abducted a Special Adviser to the previous Chairman of Nnewi South Council Area, Hon. Uzozie Chukwujekwu.
The raging gunmen were claimed to have stormed the victim’s compound at 12 a.m. and snatched him after killing his son in the stomach.
The gunmen were claimed to have been agitated over Hon Chukwujekwu after his alleged unwillingness to freely open the gate of his complex for them, until they pushed their way into the family compound, according to a member of the community who talked with Vanguard but requested anonymity.
The victim’s only son, who was fatally injured by the attackers, was transferred to an unidentified hospital, where he is still undergoing care.
