ABS Film Academy Commences March 2022 Training In Film Production

Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS Film Academy has commenced March 2022 training of students in film production.

The opening ceremony held at the ABS premises had over two hundred registered students in attendance.

Correspondent Njideka Okoye covered the ceremony and reports that while declaring the training open for the academic session, the managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Chief Uche Nworah, Ph.D, welcomed the students to the training session which he said will last for two months, advising them to pay attention to achieve what they want and become somebody in life.

Chief Nworah represented by the Director ABS Film Academy, Mr Paschal Osubor, thanked Governor Willie Obiano for the establishment of the Academy which he said for the past five years of its existence has produced best students in different areas of film production in both national and international competitions while many of them have been employed by different establishments for their excellent performances.

Chief Nworah, disclosed that  classes will commence on Tuesday next week and explained the nature of the training in different areas of film production, advising the candidates to take the training serious.

On her part, the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Stella Oduah represented by Mr. Nonso Chukwudebelu, thanked ABS for providing such platform for people to build their carrier, stating that one of her greatest passions is human capital development and that was why she sponsored people from her constituency to benefit from the training.

Advising the students, a Nollywood actor, Mr. Emeka Nwaro and Mr Raymond Anyaeji told them to have passion for the skill as it can put food on their table and take them far, thanking the ABS for bringing the opportunity to their door step.

Two of the students Ogochukwu Odili and Maduabuchukwu Orie, commended the ABS and Senator Stella Oduah for giving them the opportunity to actualize their dreams.

Some of the teachers, Jideobi Ogboo, Uju Egwuim, Roy Ekwunife and Philip Kaine talked to the students in different areas.

In a vote of thanks, one of the students Anabel Igbokwe commended the initiative, saying it will help them develop their talents while question and answer session featured at the event.
