A taxi and truck collided in Bloemfontein leaving 14 people injured

VRMED and other agencies were called to the scene of a taxi and truck collision on O.R. Thambo Road in Hamilton, Bloemfontein.

When VRMED crews arrived, they discovered that a minibus had crashed with a truck, trapping the driver and front passenger inside the minibus with critical injuries.

The collision also injured twelve additional passengers. Mangaung Fire and Rescue used sophisticated rescue equipment to free the two trapped patients.

Advanced care paramedics stabilized both patients on the scene before transporting them to the hospital.

All 14 people were taken to various Bloemfontein hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
